The tour begins with a visit to the Vatican's main highlights. Your guide will lead you through the Gallery of Candelabra, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Maps, and the Raphael Rooms. You'll see ancient sarcophagi in the Gallery of the Greek Cross, fantastic beasts in the Hall of Animals, and of course, the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment.

Then comes the most exciting part – access to the restricted areas. Your guide will show you the Cabinet of Masks, a small square room named after its mosaic floor with depictions of theatrical masks. This mosaic was created in the 2nd century and brought here from Emperor Hadrian's villa in Tivoli.

The next stop is the Niccoline Chapel, located in the oldest part of the Apostolic Palace. This is the private chapel of the Roman pontiffs, decorated in the mid‑15th century by Fra Beato Angelico, one of the greatest Early Renaissance painters. You'll see vibrant frescoes with biblical scenes, remarkably well preserved.

The highlight is the Bramante Staircase – an architectural masterpiece built by Donato Bramante in 1505 for Pope Julius II. It is a double‑helix spiral staircase without steps – more of a gentle ramp winding around an open space. Its shape resembles a DNA helix, and it is lit naturally from above. Your guide will tell you the story behind this unique structure and show how it connects the Belvedere Palace to the outside world.
